Flextech is experiencing increased demand for steel rule dies and thermoforming tools for new projects from our customers in the medical, industrial, recreational and military/tactical markets. This increase necessitated new technology and capacity in our in-house tool shop.
We have recently acquired and installed a new Cutlite Penta LTF 1713 CO2 laser cutting machine in our tool shop. Cutlite Penta, based in Prato, Italy, is a world leader in laser cutting technology. Their machines are known for cutting accuracy and speed. This machine is being used for cutting wooden die boards, steel and other materials used in the building of our die cutting and thermoforming tooling.
This addition to our tool shop augments our tool building capacity to meet future demand for new tools. It also allows us to repair or replace worn or damaged tools very quickly, resulting in very little downtime.
At Flextech, we are planning for the future. This significant capital investment in new technology is an integral part of that long-term plan.
